Get Ready to Sail with Atlantis Tomorrow!
Your vacation starts tomorrow, and we can’t wait to see you and show you what Atlantis and Virgin have in store as we sail the fabulous Scarlet Lady from Venice to Barcelona! Please take a minute now and read this entire email.
Please adhere to your assigned arrival time at the port. Embarkation starts at 1:30 p.m., and you were assigned a specific arrival time when you registered to properly manage the guest flow through this tiny terminal. There is no space in the terminal, and several steps are required before boarding the ship. If you arrive earlier, you will wait outside in the hot sun.
If you arrive in Trieste before 1:30 p.m., you may check in your luggage and explore the town until your assigned time. The city center is a very short walk from the terminal.
And don’t worry about booking shows. In fairness to all guests, we will open up bookings for shows and onboard events at 6:00 p.m. More on that below.

Important Arrival Advice:
First and foremost, the pier opens at 1:30 p.m., and there is no early embarkation or arrival before that time. As we said above, you must adhere to your assigned check-in time.
We will be departing from the Cruise Port in Trieste, conveniently located in the center of town. There is only one cruise port, and the exact address is:

Luggage drop-off is available from 9:00 a.m. onward, so if you’re already in town, you can drop off your bags and check in at your assigned time.
There is no waiting space inside the terminal, so you will be asked to queue up outside if you arrive before your scheduled time. Thank you for understanding.
Scarlet Lady sails at 5:00 p.m. sharp, and you must be at the terminal no later than 4:00 p.m.
Once you get settled, come up to our sailaway party at 5:30 p.m. on the pool deck. We’ll introduce you to our Team and Happenings Cast with a little champagne toast.
First Day Advice:
Around 700 of you are joining Atlantis for your very first time, and we can’t wait to welcome you on board. We know that all our experienced and friendly guests will welcome you with open arms! Here are a few tips to get you started off right:
Entertainment Booking Information:
Once you embark, booking for all shows and entertainment events will be available in the Virgin Voyages App beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Reservations are recommended but not required for all Manor and Red Room shows. Most of our entertainers perform three times during your voyage, so there’s ample opportunity to see anything you want!
We have added substantial seating in both the Red Room and the Manor, exceeding the limits of the app’s booking capacity. THEREFORE, remember the Golden Show Rule: Sold out only means no more reservations are available. We will still likely have space for walk-ins at every show in both venues when the app says “sold out.”
In fairness to all sailors, we will release all open seats to standby sailors 10 minutes prior to all showtimes. If you have a booking, please arrive no later than 10 minutes before showtime.
Rockstar suite sailors with black bands do not have to book shows in advance. We hold space for you up until 10 minutes before showtime.

Alcohol Policy Reminder:
You are welcome to bring two (2) 750mL bottles of wine per room in carry-on bags. No beer or hard liquor may be brought onboard for consumption.
Any alcohol placed in checked baggage or carried on will be removed and held for you until the end of your voyage. Alcohol purchased onboard or in port will be held in secure storage and delivered to your stateroom on the last night.
Please do not put bottles in your checked luggage, as this will slow down delivery.
Berthing Change for Sorrento to Naples:
We’re delighted to share some great news. Virgin has been able to secure a berth in Naples for our call to Sorrento on July 20. The logistics of docking in Naples are far superior to those of Sorrento, since we will now be docked in the middle of the city instead of tendering to the lower port of Sorrento. Our port times will remain the same at 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Most Shore Things tours scheduled for Sorrento will be operated in full from Naples, with more time for the tour itself. We will also be adding quite a few new Shore Things offerings thanks to the central location. A handful will have to be canceled or rescheduled.
We will provide full details on the reworked Shore Things in an email tomorrow, along with a detailed description onboard. No action is needed on your part at this time, as none of the new tours may be booked until you get onboard.

You’ll make the most of your holiday by having something planned, even if it’s just an introduction to these exciting places. Please MAKE A PLAN to explore – all too often our guests arrive to a port with no idea what to do and miss out on some incredible experiences!
There are four things you can do today:
• Book Shore Things to explore these fantastic ports. Virgin has created some of the most engaging, energizing, and fun shore experiences in the world, perfect for Atlantis guests. They are refreshingly different from other cruise ships’ offerings and exciting!
• Purchase a Bar Tab for a discount! This allows you to buy credit for onboard drink purchases and get extra dollars to spend on drinks for you or your friends. It’s a sensational deal, available only before we set sail.
• Book Spa Appointments in advance. Virgin has the most gorgeous full-service spa on the high seas, with unique treatments that we know you’ll love. With limited sea days, we strongly recommend booking soon.
• Indulgein the optional “Touch of Romance” package, adding a sweet collection of sensational services for one low price. This limited new package offers each couple priority boarding, daily juice specials, a 3-hour Thermal Spa pass, one “shake for Champagne”, daily delicious bites, a special Sailaway event, and more! All for $250 per room, but limited to 90 rooms!
Passport & Visa Reminder
If you hold a passport from the USA, Canada, UK, or the EU, you do not need a special visa to enter the ports on this voyage. Citizens of other countries must check with their consulate and/or embassy to verify visa requirements for all ports.
We suggest checking a resource like Sherpa (https://apply.joinsherpa.com/travel-restrictions) to review your visa requirements.
Please remember that you must have the proper documentation before embarkation. If you do not have the correct visa or a valid passport, you will not be allowed to embark, and no refund will be provided.
Passports must be valid through January 24, 2027 and you must have your physical passport with you to embark. European ID cards and passport cards will not be accepted for travel.

Dining and Show Bookings
We have found that going with all open seating makes the most sense for Atlantis, and it’s been fantastic on our previous Virgin sailings. This flexible system has worked well for our guests across all Virgin ships and offers plenty of options every night.
So, unlike a “standard” Virgin sailing, you don’t have to do a thing for dining except show up and enjoy!
Our shows can only be booked once onboard through the local network, but again, reservations will be easy, as we’ve added extra performances to ensure you can see everything you desire.
Transfers to Trieste Pier from Venice
We are working on transfer options from both Venice Airport and the city of Venice to the pier in Trieste, either through Virgin or directly through Atlantis. We will update you early next week with the options and booking details.

About Three Weeks Before Departure
Register for your cruise with the instructions that we’ll provide by email. You’ll need to provide passport information and other details directly to our cruise lines to complete your registration. We typically send out this information by email about a month prior to sailing. If you’re booking within a month of departure, it might take a little longer for us to add you to the cruise line’s manifest.
Pre-Order Shore Excursions. We work closely with our cruise lines to create exciting shore excursions just for our guests. These optional tours are the best way to see these amazing places in the company of your friends onboard. Space is often limited, so booking in advance is the best way to plan!
Review our preliminary schedule including party themes. We try to keep our party themes simple enough that you don’t have to worry about them long in advance. You can create a sensational outfit, shop for something fun, or simply come as you are — either way you’ll fit right in and have a great time. Themes for your cruise will be sent by email and posted right here on the “Already Booked” page about 3 weeks prior to departure.
