Guest Emails Sent:

URGENT - Our Charter Flight is Delayed!

Air Tahiti Nui has just informed us that due to a maintenance issue, our flight tonight will be substantially DELAYED until tomorrow morning.

Your updated flight details are as follows:

New departure time: 12:20 PM from LAX on 28 December
Revised arrival time: 6:35 PM in Papeete (PPT)

HOWEVER – we are trying to get an earlier departure tomorrow morning, likely between 10:30 am and 11:30 am.  We will know more details later tonight and will update you by email.

We are currently working with the Air Tahiti Nui team to secure hotel rooms for all passengers who require one.  Watch for another email shortly with detailed hotel information. We wanted to make sure you had information on the flight first.

The good news is that you now have a daytime flight now.  Once we land will be brought directly to Riviera in time for a relaxing dinner and (hopefully) even some Atlantis entertainment.  If  you look on the very bright side,  we no longer have the 5-hour wait in the terminal building tomorrow morning!

We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding for this extraordinary situation.

Thank you for your cooperation, and please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience.
Stay tuned for another update shortly and we look forward to flying with you tomorrow morning!

Warm regards,
Rich, James, Jan,  Marino, Benji, and the rest of Team Atlantis

Charter Check-In Update

Due to the complexity of these charter flights, Air Tahiti Nui is not offering online check-in for your journey today.  We apologize for the confusion here as we just found out this morning!

However, if you want to speed things along, take a minute to enter your passport details and TSA PreCheck information (if you have it) by using their “Manage My Booking” service at the following link:

https://us.airtahitinui.com/manage-my-booking

Your confirmation code is:

Please note that you’ll likely receive a strange email after doing this that says your booking is not ticketed.  You can ignore this email as the tickets are of course issued and you’re all set to fly.

Don’t forget to have your passport with you for check-in and we’ll see you tonight at LAX.

Thank you!

Warm regards,
Rich, James, Jan,  Marino, Benji, and the rest of Team Atlantis

Charter Flight Update

We are still working with Air Tahiti Nui on processing the bookings for your upcoming Charter from LAX to Tahiti on Saturday.  There was a technical issue in creating the records and we’re working together to find a solution.

All this means is that we won’t have confirmation codes for you for another day or two.  We will send these by email as soon as we get the situation resolved.

Thank you for your patience.

Here’s what happens next:

  1. You should receive an email with a confirmation code from Atlantis by Friday.
  2. You can use this code to check in with Air Tahiti Nui, starting 24 hours before our flight.  However, this is absolutely not essential, and you can check in at the airport.
  3. Atlantis representatives will be at the check-in counter to assist.
  4. Luggage allowances are listed in our Vacation Guide and are the same as for any commercial flight. Plan accordingly and understand that excess and overweight baggage will incur the same fees as commercial flights.
Information on excess baggage fees can be found at:
    https://us.airtahitinui.com/excess-baggage
  1. Please arrive at the airport THREE HOURS prior to our 10:45 pm departure.  We suggest arriving no later than 8:30 pm, and the check-in counter closes at 9:30 pm sharp.
  2. Check-in will be the same as a commercial flight at the Air Tahiti Nui counter at LAX in the International (Bradley) Terminal.   There is no lounge access included for charter flights.
  3. Upon arrival in Papeete, we will transfer you to the terminal pier.  Luggage will be tagged after you pick it up in customs and will be sent directly to your room onboard Riviera.  Customs and immigration is a bit slow in Tahiti, so it might take an hour or two for all of us to clear and head to the pier.
  4. That’s all for now – we can’t wait to see you on Saturday!

Thank you again for selecting Atlantis for your vacation and flying with us to Tahiti!  Our flights usually are great fun.

Have a very Merry Christmas, and we look forward to seeing you on Saturday and onboard the Riviera as we ring in 2026 together!

Warm regards,
Rich, James, Jan,  Marino, Benji, and the rest of Team Atlantis

Read on for dining reservations information.

Dining Booking Information
We will open dining reservations for the four specialty restaurants to all guests at noon (Pacific Time) on Monday, December 15.  Note that to book a table with friends, you’ll need to get THEIR Oceania booking numbers as well as names as listed on the reservation.

Please do not call Atlantis to request other guests’ booking numbers, as we cannot provide them.

Each of you will have the opportunity to dine at these restaurants at least once.  We are also holding plenty of space for walk-ins and changes to allow considerable flexibility once onboard.  In other words, don’t panic about this – it works out great on all our Oceania charters.

Owners, Vista, and Oceania Suite guests may book at any time through their butler and do not need to book in advance unless they have parties larger than four guests.

We will send out a separate detailed email on dining by Friday, December 12, with instructions on how to book.

Day Rooms on January 6
We are working on day room and “day pass” options for guests with late flights on January 6, including our charter flight.  We hope to have more information in the coming days and will offer it by email.

In all likelihood, we will need to use two different properties to accommodate all the requests.

Charter Flight Information
If you are booked on our charter flights, seat assignments are being made to ensure that guests traveling in the same stateroom are seated together.  Unfortunately, we cannot honor any other seating requests, as the charter flights are full.  We also cannot release seat assignments in advance.  They will be printed on your boarding pass to be distributed at the airport.

In terms of luggage, please note that Air Tahiti Nui limits Economy class passengers to one piece of luggage, weighing up to 23 kg (51 lbs) per piece.  Business Class passengers may bring two bags, each weighing up to 70 lbs (32 kg) per passenger.

Overweight and additional luggage will incur their standard charges as detailed on the Air Tahiti Nui website:

https://www.airtahitinui.com/en/baggage-policies

Atlantis staff will be available at check-in for all flights to assist with questions and resolve any issues.

Your Party Themes
While the emphasis onboard this cruise is mostly touring and exploring the islands, we will, of course, throw some really fun parties on the top deck, including an over-the-top New Year’s Gala.

Given the heat and distance, we kept the outfits very simple, so you don’t need to carry a lot. Here are our party themes for this fantastic New Year’s Cruise.

Bali Ha’i
It’s high camp in the South Pacific from your best Bloody Mary impression to decked out officers looking for a good time. And oh yes, plenty of festive natives running around. Celebrate the magic of the islands any way you desire.
Tropical Glow
Bring out the bling, blink, glitter, and glow to light up the night with a little tropical sizzle. It’s all about the accessories tonight so let yourself shine! Or come as you are and bask in the community glow.
New Year’s Eve Gala
Celebrate the start of 2026 in tropical style with our all-star gala celebration in the Bora Bora Harbor.  Dress up or down in champagne style with a touch of gold, silver, and white for our night of pop-up performances, music, and fireworks at midnight!
White Lotus
The lotus is a symbol of purity, harmony and peace – something the world needs today.  Our pinnacle party celebrates joy in one simple color that everyone looks good in.  Or go the HBO route and let’s see what happens!
Dog Tag T-Dance
The troops come home for Atlantis’ longest-running signature afternoon party. Show your creative strength at our first big outdoor party inspired by the joys of men in (small) uniforms. We’ll provide souvenir dog tags; you do the rest.
Revival!
Classic Disco T-Dance

Disco lives on as we take you back to the glory days of the 70s with an afternoon of pure musical magic on the dance floor. Artificial fabrics, excess facial hair, oversized shoes, and other obnoxious accessories welcome!
Splash T-Dance
Take a dip on the dance floor at our wettest tropical t-dance. We’ll cool you off with a few splashes of water so dress for the beach and leave your phone or camera (if you still own one) behind. You’ll definitely get wet –with a smile.
Think Pink T-Dance
Pink brings out the playful in all of us and we cannot escape it! From Barbie butch to fluffy fantastic, throw on your favorite interpretation for a hot afternoon of frivolous dolled up fun.

Upgrades and Availability Update
If you have any friends looking to join you on this amazing voyage, we have three or four rooms available now that the cruise line has released.  We wanted to make them available to you before we message the general public.  These rooms are open for sale on our website as of today.

We also have one of the Owner’s Suites available as a paid upgrade.  If you are interested in this incredible suite experience, please contact our office for details.

Thank you for reading this long email!  We can’t wait to see you in Tahiti to celebrate the New Year (or Los Angeles for our flights!).

Look for our Cruise Vacation Guide next week with more information by email.

Communications Timeline:

About Three Weeks Before Departure
Register for your cruise with the instructions that we’ll provide by email. You’ll need to provide passport information and other details directly to our cruise lines to complete your registration. We typically send out this information by email about a month prior to sailing. If you’re booking within a month of departure, it might take a little longer for us to add you to the cruise line’s manifest.

Pre-Order Shore Excursions. We work closely with our cruise lines to create exciting shore excursions just for our guests. These optional tours are the best way to see these amazing places in the company of your friends onboard. Space is often limited, so booking in advance is the best way to plan!

Review our preliminary schedule including party themes. We try to keep our party themes simple enough that you don’t have to worry about them long in advance. You can create a sensational outfit, shop for something fun, or simply come as you are — either way you’ll fit right in and have a great time. Themes for your cruise will be sent by email and posted right here on the “Already Booked” page about 4 weeks prior to departure.

Two Weeks Before Departure
Read Our Cruise Vacation Guide with valuable information about your ship, the entertainment, our ports, packing advice, and so much more. We’ll notify you by email once this document is available for download.

The Last Days Before Departure
Check your email for any last-minute communications regarding boarding advice, weather updates, parties in our departure city, and other things that might come up.
