https://www.oceaniacruises.com
To register, you’ll have to create an account, so click “My Account” in the upper left corner of the screen. Make sure you enter your name exactly as we have it:

Once you sign in, you will need the following information to register.

Cruise Ship: Oceania Riviera
Departure Date: July 17, 2024
Oceania Booking Number:
Your Passport Details:

Please note that the Oceania Reservation Number is not the same as your Atlantis Confirmation Number. Also, you must enter your name exactly as shown on your Atlantis reservation (as listed above) to enter the system properly.

Each stateroom only has one Oceania Reservation Number assigned. All guests in your room will use the same number to register online.

If you encounter trouble with the Oceania online system, please contact Oceania Cruises at 855-623-2642, as Atlantis has no control over its system. If you cannot successfully pre-register, please do not worry; it will not affect your booking status or ability to board.

Once registered you may book shore excursions, purchase beverage package upgrades, and reserve culinary classes in advance online.  Just follow the directions under “Manage Booking.”

Dining Information Update
We will open dining reservations for all guests at noon (Pacific Time) on Monday, July 8. Please see the detailed information in the Vacation Guide about dining and reservations. Note that to book a table with friends, you’ll need to get their Oceania booking numbers as well as the names listed on the reservation. But don’t panic—we’re keeping plenty of space for walk-ins and changes onboard.

Additional dining reservations will be available onboard, with space held for Suite, Penthouse, and Concierge guests. The Oceania system does not allow us to prioritize a specific category in advance. Once onboard, bookings will be open for priority categories either through the butlers or at the dining reservations desk in the lobby.

Please do not call Atlantis for other guests booking numbers, as we cannot give them out.

Important Mykonos Disembarkation Update
We were just informed of the following by Oceania regarding Mykonos:
The port agent advised that the immigration office has said as of July 1, 2024; no passenger movement is permitted in Mykonos.

This means that despite weeks of work to coordinate the ship’s movements, the Greek authorities are not allowing guests to end the cruise in Mykonos; all guests must end the cruise in Athens as scheduled.

Oceania and Atlantis have tried all possible options to make this happen, but according to Greek law, it is technically not allowed with our type of sailing. A translation of the relevant statute follows:

A.aa. Cruises carried out in accordance with the provisions of paragraphs 3 and 4 of article 165 of the Public Maritime Code, ratified by article 1 of Law No. 187/1973 (A 261), have as their sole purpose the leisure and navigation of passengers through a predetermined program on board, which includes tourist activities in the various ports, in return for a single ticket for the entire voyage from pick-up to final disembarkation of the passengers.

bb. Subject to the provisions of subparagraphs (bb) and (dd) of subparagraph B of this paragraph, a passenger may not interrupt his journey unless this is necessary for safety reasons or unforeseen circumstances. During the voyage he shall be obliged to follow the ship, but may disembark from the ship and remain ashore for the duration of the ship’s stay in each port.

If you plan to visit Mykonos after our cruise, we recommend taking one of the ferries from the port of Piraeus on the morning of the 24th. A fast ferry at 9:30 am goes directly to Mykonos in around 3 hours.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

Pre and Post-Cruise Update
We still have rooms left at all our pre and post-cruise hotels!  You can book these packages before Wednesday, July 10.

Atlantis hotel packages include deluxe accommodations, all taxes and gratuities, daily breakfast, transfers to or from Riviera, a half-day tour of each city, and expert guides on site.  You can add additional nights to each package based on availability.

Pre and Post Cruise Hotel Packages Still Available
We still have limited space on our exciting pre and post-cruise hotel packages in Istanbul and Athens. Atlantis has selected some of each city’s top hotels and is offering a 2-night or longer stay in each city.

Atlantis hotel packages include deluxe accommodations, all taxes and gratuities, daily breakfast, transfers to or from Riviera, a half-day tour of each city, and expert guides on site. You can add additional nights to each package based on availability.

Complete details are available on our website right here:

Mykonos Debarkation Update
It’s been a challenge, but we have found a way to allow guests who want to terminate their cruise in Mykonos on July 23. The issue has been that Oceania is scheduled to tender for the day and Oceania’s safety and liability policies prohibit the ship from allowing passengers to disembark in a tender operation.

However, we have been able to secure dock space for a short period of time at the end of the day to allow guests who want to disembark to do so. There is a substantial cost involved in moving and re-piloting the ship, and so must charge a special debark fee of $125 USD per guest in order to partially offset those costs.

If you want to disembark in Mykonos, you must complete the following request form no later than Monday, July 8, as we need to make special preparations. After that time, we cannot promise that additional guests can be added to the disembark list.

Our Party Themes
We know that this is not a big party cruise and that nobody wants to carry a ton of costumes across the planet. But a little dressed-up fun adds some sparkle to our evenings onboard, and we can’t resist a good party.

Following are our party themes for this cruise. Please note that we’re keeping it simple and that costumes are completely optional.

Empires

We’re covering three continents on this sailing where the lands we’re visiting have been part of long and recently-lost empires. Ottoman, Byzantine, Roman, Macedonian, Venetian all had their turns – even the British got a piece! Tonight it’s your turn to conquer with plenty of inspiration from the past. Dress to win them over or come as you are and try to keep score!

Gold Medalists

The Olympics are upon us as all eyes turn to Paris where dozens will walk away with a little gold and everyone will have excellent croissants. Let’s get into the Olympic spirit with a party about sport, sportsmen, and all the pageantry that make us watch every four years. Head out ready to compete or coach, or arrive decked out in your country’s ceremonial best, or be that fan who finally got a ticket to mens gymnastics.

Summer White

Let your imagination run wild at Atlantis’ pinnacle party. Sizzle in the moment, dress up or down in one simple color that everyone looks good in. Be as creative as your dreams, as sexy as your desires, as irreverent as your laughs, or keep it simple with your favorite white shorts. All are welcome here for the perfect night under the stars.

Dog Tag T-Dance

The troops come home for Atlantis’ longest-running signature afternoon party. Show your creative strength at our first big outdoor party inspired by the joys of men in (small) uniforms. We’ll provide souvenir dog tags; you do the rest.

Revival!
Classic Disco T-Dance

Disco lives on as we take you back to the glory days of the 70s with an afternoon of pure musical magic on the dance floor. Artificial fabrics, excess facial hair, oversized shoes, and other obnoxious accessories welcome!

Think Pink T-Dance

Pink is in! It’s everywhere this year and hotter than ever. From Barbie butch to fluffy fantastic, throw on your favorite interpretation for a hot afternoon of frivolous dolled up fun.

That’s all for now!

Thank you again for choosing Atlantis for your vacation, and watch your inbox for our Cruise Vacation Guide next week.

Warm regards,
Rich, James, Ben, Marino, and the rest of team Atlantis!

Getting Ready for Your Istanbul to Athens Cruise

Get Ready for Your Atlantis Istanbul to Athens Cruise

We can’t wait to show you the magic of three continents this summer on our Istanbul to Athens journey onboard Oceania Riviera. We want to share important planning information, advice, and a special offer as you prepare for this exciting voyage.

Several of you have inquired about passports and visas for this cruise. US, EU, and Canadian citizens do not need a visa to enter Turkey. However, both require that your passport be valid for at least six months past the entry date, and Oceania requires the same. Please look at your passport now and ensure it is valid for the required time.

Citizens of other countries should check with their consulate for specific visa requirements. If you do not have the proper documentation, you will not be permitted onboard, and no refund will be issued.

You’ll receive several more emails as we get closer to sailing, but for today, please look over the following:

Itinerary News for Your Istanbul to Athens Cruise

Thank you for all the valuable feedback on our Istanbul to Athens Cruise on Oceania Riviera. Over 300 of you responded and the clear winner by a large margin was…Crete!

It’s taken us a few days to get port approvals and clearance from Oceania, but we’re now ready to update our itinerary for this summer’s sailing in a way that we think you’ll love.

We’ve crafted a revised itinerary that not only includes your top requested destination, but also allowed us to make some overall improvements to timing and experience in our other ports.

Here are the highlights:

  • We will now call in Alexandria, Egypt for Cairo (replacing Port Said) with an extended visit until midnight. Alexandria is both closer to Cairo and as a city offers a myriad of historical and cultural attractions on its own. With our extended stay you’ll have plenty of time to see the Pyramids as well as some of the highlights in Alexandria. We’ve been there before and are very excited about this change!
  • We’re moving the Mykonos day back one day, allowing us to extend our stay until 2 am, which gives you more beach time, a great sunset, and a real evening out on one of the world’s most fascinating islands.
  • Finally, our new call in Crete will be to the masterly preserved historical city of Chania. Renowned for its stunning waterfront and blend of ancient and modern Venetian, Turkish, and Greek architecture, Chania offers a welcoming experience with plenty of historical treasures nearby. We can’t wait to show you this dazzlingly beautiful destination for our first visit since 2015!

Our completely new itinerary is now as follows:

 DATE  PORT  ARRIVE  DEPART
 17-July  Istanbul, Turkey  4 pm
  18-July  At Sea
  19-July  Limassol, Cyprus  11:30 am  5 pm
20-July   Alexandria (Cairo), Egypt  9 am  12 am
  21-July  At Sea
  22-July  Mykonos, Greece  8 am  2 am
  23-July  Chania, Crete  11:30 am  7 pm
  24-July  Athens, Greece  7 am

Over the next few days, we’ll update our website with this new itinerary.

Later this month we will also send you some details on exciting tour and hotel options in Istanbul and Athens.

Finally, should the situation in Israel improve to the point that tourism is practical, we will consider returning to the original itinerary. This also seemed to be the guiding preference from our survey.

Thank you again for your support and input. We are excited for this magnificent journey and have an amazing time in store for you onboard Oceania Riviera this summer!

Warm regards,

Rich Campbell

Itinerary Survey for Your Istanbul to Athens Cruise

We wanted to update you on our itinerary for your upcoming Istanbul to Athens Cruise and get some feedback regarding our decisions.

As we said in our past email, we have been closely watching the situation in Israel and at this stage we feel it is prudent to proactively substitute Tel Aviv with a different port in the Med. The good news is that we have plenty of options to choose from and want your input on where you’d like to go.

At a later date, we may consider adding Tel Aviv back to the itinerary if the situation clears up and enough guests are interested in going.

The only port on your itinerary that will change is Tel Aviv. All the other ports in Turkey, Cyprus, Egypt and Greece are confirmed including Cairo which is both welcoming tourists and expecting a record year of visitor arrivals in 2024. Our day at the Pyramids promises to be spectacular and there are no security concerns pending in Egypt. We also might extend our time there slightly when we revise the itinerary.

Please take 5 minutes to answer a few quick questions so we gauge your interest in the options in front of us at the following survey link:

https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RivieraPorts24

We will email you with the results of this survey on Thursday and hopefully announce our revised itinerary on Friday.

Thank you for your support and feedback! We can’t wait to share this extraordinary journey with you this summer on the gorgeous Oceania Riviera! It’s going to be a sensational trip.

Warm regards,

Rich Campbell
President

Update on Our Istanbul to Athens Cruise

We look forward to seeing you this summer onboard the amazing Oceania Riviera for our Istanbul to Athens cruise. Many of you have expressed concerns about the situation in the Israel and how it might impact our sailing, so I thought it would be useful to clarify our status and outlook.

Since our cruise is about half a year in the future, Atlantis and Oceania are hopeful that the state of affairs and tourism will return to normal in Israel well before our scheduled sailing. Atlantis is aware of and appreciates that Oceania may have preliminarily canceled other 2024 sailings to Israel, but those changes do not apply to our charter.

Atlantis continues to work closely with Oceania to monitor the circumstances, and once we get closer to our sailing date, we will make a definitive decision on whether we need to alter the itinerary to provide an exceptional experience. Atlantis and Oceania place safety above all considerations and always monitor world events closely to make operational decisions using informed advice from a variety of sources.

Should there be the slightest risk to our guests and crew, we will of course modify the itinerary. Given the multitude of excellent destinations in the region, there would likely be minimal impact to your overall vacation experience.

All the ports on our itinerary are confirmed as listed on our website. Egypt is currently welcoming tourists and there have been no additional warnings on travel to Egypt or concerns since October. Unless something significant changes, we would likely only swap Israel for one of the other sensational ports along our itinerary path. There are plenty of great options available to us!

In order to give you more time and take any financial pressure off decisions, we will extend the deadline for our second payment one month to February 15. As a reminder, our cancellation penalty does not change until February 18, and should the situation remain the same we will likely extend that date as well.

We will send a survey out to all guests in the next 2 weeks to gauge your interest in alternate ports in order to be prepared for any possible changes.

Finally, we are working on some excellent pre and post cruise packages for Istanbul and Athens. We have outstanding tour companies in both cities and will have details to you in early February.

I hope that this information is useful and know that all of you are looking forward to this incredible journey. Thank you again for your continued support and we cannot wait to show you this part of the world on the amazing Oceania Riviera.

Thank you.

Warm regards,

Rich Campbell
